I love to knit. I don’t do it as much as I’d like to because . . . well, four kids, two dogs, one cat–the yarn has a way of getting all tangled up when I’m not looking. Still, when the stars align and I have some time to lie in bed and watch TV, it feels awfully good to be making something with my hands at the same time. I have this one twisted scarf pattern that uses short rows that’s SO much fun to make. E-mail me if you want to know where I found the pattern.
Anyway, if you’re reading this, you probably know that my last novel (Knitting under the Influence) used knitting as the excuse to bring the characters together on a regular basis. A lot of knitters bought the book. Some of them liked it. Some felt the knitting wasn’t detailed enough. So there you have it. The book’s a fun read either way. I think. I hope.
Back when I was working on it, I was immersing myself in lots of knitting stuff and one of the things I found (actually, I think my husband found it but he’s used to my taking credit for stuff he does so I’m not going to stop now) was this incredible animated short about knitting.
This is sort of an experiment: I’ve never embedded a video in a blog post before. But I took a course on improving your website this weekend and . . . well, it’s time I tried something new.
Here’s “The Last Knit.” It’s great. Even if you don’t like knitting.
