Excuse the shouting, but I’m excited.  This is my first YA novel and people have liked it so far and it’s summer and I just feel like flinging my arms up in the air and going “hoodeley-hoodeley-hoo!”  But people give you such funny looks when you do . . .

I’ve been blogging like crazy to promote the book and I really like some of the posts.  This one’s about modernizations of Austen, this one‘s about books I’d have recommended at different ages, this one‘s a character interview with my heroine, this one‘s a top ten list of ways I like to procrastinate, this one‘s a “teenage garage sale”–the items I might have tried to unload back when I was a teenager–and this one‘s my own feelings about Austen modernizations, what works and what doesn’t.

There are some nice reviews out there, too.  My favorite is probably this one, but there are more on my FB page–I’m posting links as they come in, so if you’re bored and want to read even more about EPIC FAIL (which seems unlikely), or just want to hang out and see what’s going on there (likelier), come on over.  I’m going to do a book and swag giveaway once my likes reach 400 and I’m only about ten away from that, so like the page, and maybe we’ll get to the contest sooner.

Also check out Harper’s “fall in love with summer escapes” tumblr–it’s like a mini-vacation right in your own room.

Enough about me and my stupid book.  How’s everyone’s summer going?  I went to Chicago . . .

My daughter at the Crown Fountain in Millenium Park in Chicago. Just because we were there and it's a cool photo.
