Book signings, etc.

I’m just starting to set up some booksignings for the new novel, which comes out September 27, 2010.   I’ll post them as soon as I know the dates.

If you want a book signed, I’ll happily send you a signed adhesive bookplate.  Or ask your local bookstore to invite me to come do an event there!

hello Claire. I have been reading your book The Smart One and the Pretty One and I read your readers note on your website saying to tell you if I had gotten one of your books that had part of another in it. And well I did. Though i don’t quite remember which store i have narrowed it down to two. The first being Barnes and Noble in the Chino Hills Shoppes and the second being Borders in the Chino Spectrum. Your publisher doesn’t have to send me another book I would just like to what happens in the part that got cut out. This is the first book i read that you have written and it has left me wanting to read another. Thank you for taking to the time to read this.

Epic Fail is the best book ever. Please make a sequel. I have the book, and I don;t really know how these book signing things work, but could you sign mine? I know there’s this thing where you can ship the book to author, and the author signs and ships the now-signed book back. And please make another. Derek and Elise have captured my heart..without them, I’ll die.

I’ve read Epic Fail 5 times now and i love it more every time. Would you consider writing a second book about George. Like a prologe but a whole book of it. Thanks,
    Pia R

Thanks, Pia! Georgia does deserve her own book. I’ll think about it!

My book club just finished our discussion of “Families and Other Nonreturnable Gifts.” We thoroughly enjoyed the book. One question – could you explain your dedication? My co-workers thought it might be a reference to something/someone/somewhere in the Boston area. I am from Boston and don’t make any connections to the reference.Would you be willing to discuss the dedication?

Again, we enjoyed “Families ” and celebrated Keats’ leap of independence. Now on to Epic Fail.

Thanks, Julie! It’s a strange dedication, I know. It’s basically a reference to my husband’s investment club–that’s the simple answer, anyway!
